The dredging and screening of sewage matters (MDV) require a simple, robust screening system with few consumables, in order to recover the maximum number of wipes in particular: this is the role of the model PACK MDV.
A curved screen SERCOURB inserted in a stainless steel box above ground entirely covered, is used for sieving. Its curved grid retains particles larger than the mesh size, recommended at 10 mm. These are scraped and pushed to an integrated screw compactor SERCOMP.
This rustic and solid system has few moving parts and few wearing parts.
The protective cover of the assembly can be made of mesh structure or in solid sheet metal in order to contain any splashes or odors.
The large radius of curvature of the grid allows not only a good accompaniment of refusals in the base of the grid, but also to sufficiently raise the refusals in order to place a compactor. It is simple to use and can operate without supervision.
The PACK MDV is made up of the following elements:
A curved screen SERCOURB, inserted in an above-ground box, having the following characteristics:
A sieve screen, curved, removable, made of stainless steel plates laser cut with a 10mm mesh. (Different mesh available on request)
Two grid widths are available depending on the discharge flow rates:
The first can handle a flow rate of 50 to 60m3 / h
The second accepts flow rates up to 120m3 / h
The scraping system includes:
Four arms mounted on an axis carried by two stainless steel self-aligning bearings,
On two ends of the arms, a rubber flap allows the first evacuation of the rejects retained by the grid. These are the largest materials,
The other two ends are fitted with a stainless steel comb mounted on a retractable support. The comb ensures optimum unclogging of the grid between bars. The articulation with a return by gas spring makes it possible to avoid the blocking of the scraper if an object gets stuck in the grid.
A geared motor suitable for the MDV application drives the arm in rotation.
The ejection systemremoves the material deposited on the scrapers or rubber flaps to send them to the jetty chute. This balance is mounted on two stainless steel self-aligning bearings.
A screw compactor SERCOMP, strongly inclined in order to quickly gain in discharge height. The 300mm diameter Archimedes’ screw ensures a high material flow.
In standard, to protect the bar screen, a stone trap is integrated directly into the vessel. The filtrate evacuation is made via a tap fitted with a valve, and the pebbles are extracted manually directly into a trash can.
Alternatively, the pebble trap can be installed upstream of the stainless steel box. Its bolted lid is equipped with a siphoid blade that breaks the flow and directs the stones to the bottom of the structure where a basket made of perforated sheet metal is laid.
It is recommended to handle this basket with a hoist or other lifting tool, as its full weight can be important.
The pebble trap is equipped with a drain stitch on its bottom.
