The screw compactor SERCOMP ensures the compaction of screenings and sieving residues in effluents from wastewater treatment, urban effluents (purification stations), industrial effluents (agrifood: canneries, slaughterhouses, dairy / cheese dairies, washing of fruits and vegetables, slaughterhouse feathers, fish industry – washing areas – chemistry / pharmacy – mechanical and paper industry – agricultural sector: breeding, wine cellars – hotels / restaurants) and processes. Up to 50% the liquid content in the rejected waste can be eliminated.

The screw compactorSERCOMPensures the compaction of filtered rejections in the wastewater treatment stations. It reduces the volume of waste by around 50% and increases the dryness of the compacted rejects.
The screw compactor SERCOMP requires little maintenance and can operate without monitoring. For an urban effluent, this compactor ensures a minimum dryness of 25% (objective 30%).
Insulation and electrical tracing of the compaction zone (in this case the two side doors are replaced by a single top cover)
The screw compactor SERCOMP consists of the following elements:
Housing made of stainless steel sheet with an opening corresponding to the working width of the sieve.
In the lower part, a polyethylene lining reduces frictions and the wear of the housing.
When the screw compactor SERCOMP is supplied in complement of a rotary sieve SERTAM, an integral hood on the filtering drum and the trough of the screw ensures a complete protection for the operator.
A caisson with two lateral doors (*), containing the stainless steel drip drum.
This drum (500 mm in length and 210mm in diameter) is made of 304L perforated metal sheet.
In the lower part of the caisson, a 76 mm diameter pipe receives the drained water. A fitting to connect to the water supply network, is directed towards the mouth of the preceding tube to clean it.
(*) These 2 side doors provide access to the entire surface of the drum for thorough periodic cleaning with the lance. In addition, they allow you to see and clean the mouth of the drip tube subject to clogging.
An outlet chute of compacted waste, in which the gate, assembled with adjustable-springs that closes the end of the filter drum, maintains the counter pressure. The back pressure is adjustable by means of a spring hinge.
An Archimedes’ screw made of high resistance steel with an external diameter, 150 or 200 mm – depending on the model and the flow rate of the waste to be compacted.
A 1,1 KW geared motor to drive the screw.
4 feet in 60 x 60 stainless steel tube with floor fixing plates.
