The screw compactor SERCOMP ensures the compaction of filtered rejections in the wastewater treatment stations.
The screw compactorSERCOMPensures the compaction of filtered rejections in the wastewater treatment stations. It reduces the volume of waste by around 50% and increases the dryness of the compacted rejects.
It has sometimes happened for some customers that the return on investment is achieved in less than six months simply because of the savings on the removal costs.
The pressing is carried out by a coreless Archimedes’ screw which pushes the rejects into the filtering drum at the end of which a gate maintains a counter pressure.
The drained water is recovered and then channelled towards the well.
The screw compactor SERCOMP requires little maintenance and can operate without monitoring. For an urban effluent, this compactor ensures a minimum dryness of 25% (objective 30%).
