SERTROM F

The trommel internally fed rotating sieve SERTROM-F is used for filtering in wastewater treatment plants. The filtering rotating drum is built out of 304L stainless steel perforated sheet. Raw water is introduced into the interior part of the drum via a double chute distributor.

Applications

Principles

The trommel internally fed rotating sieve SERTROM-F is used for filtering in wastewater treatment plants. The filtering rotating drum is built out of 304L stainless steel perforated sheet. Raw water is introduced into the interior part of the drum via a double chute distributor. The filtrate passes through the perforations, while the drained products are brought to the output by an internal helicoidal ribbon. In the event of damage to the drum drive, an overflow compartment prevents the effluent from overflowing through the waste outlet chute.

Advantages

The sieve requires little monitoring. There is no driving cross, which facilitates the drum operation. A stainless steel drum with perforations will, for example, be easier to filter sandy water with large bulky items.

Design features

The trommel, internally fed rotating sieve SERTROM-F is entirely hooded. All parts in direct contact with the sludge are made of 304 L stainless steel or plastic materials.
The trommel, internally fed rotating sieve SERTROM-F, inclined between 6 and 8 ° following the application, allows an optimal draining of rejections.

Drum

The diameter and the length are determined according to the flow to be treated, the desired mesh and the application considered. Our range of drums counts 8 standard models adapted for flow rates from 20 to 350 m3/ h.
The mesh size can be chosen according to the application between 800μm and 20 mm.
An internal helicoid ensures the evacu- ation of refusals towards the discharge chute.

INLET CHAMBER

It is designed to have a good effluent distribution on the internal surface of the drum. It favors the discharge of the effluent along two generators located below the drum axis, which allows its distribution on a large sieving surface and a tangential filtration effect.

DRUM CLEANING SYSTEM

It has an external washing ramp with flat jet nozzles topped by an anti-spatter metal sheet.
Optionally, we can add an external cylindrical cleaning brush.

TRAINING

Depending on the application, the drum is:

Either carried by 2 platic wheels on the entry side and an axis on bearing on the exit side, with direct drive from the geared motor set on the axis with a torque arm – For FU versions (urban effluent).

Either carried and maintained by 6 plastic wheels and driven by a rack- and-pinion, this is a solution which leaves the drum outlet absolutely open – by offering a full free passage to the sieving refusals. – For FI versions (Industrial effluent).
