SCREW SIEVE - sertamvis


PRINCIPLE

The SERTAMVIS screw sieve may as the SERTEL NVB be installed in a channel or in a steel housing.
The screen is here semi-cylindrical on 225°. The raw water flows through the screen, and the solid matter stopped is extracted by an Archimedes screw without central axis until the upper outlet. These sieves have a 35 ° inclination, in order the screw can easily scrape up the matter.


DESIGN FEATURES

The unit is made of stainless steel, except the no-axis Archimedes screw, made of high section hard steel.


The sieve diameter is selected following the water flow rate to be treated and the grid slot. The standard diameters are : 300, 400, 500 and 600 mm.
Then, following the depth of the channel and the desired discharge height, the correct length is defined. Useful length varies by 0.5 m stretch, from 1.5 to 7 m.

From 0.5 to 2 mm openings, we use a half-cylindrical (225°) grid (Johnson's) with triangular section wires. For larger openings up to 15 mm, we use perforated metal sheet.

An articulated supporting foot, adjustable in height, blocks the position of the equipment and if necessary allows to raise it up for maintenance of the grid or the brush.




APPLICATIONS & BENEFITS

These SERTAMVIS sieves may be used in many applications, but when we have the choice, we prefer use them, with high mesh to treat water containing mud, big pieces, as pebble or whatever.

For urban wastewater, especially with little mesh, we prefer use SERTEL NVB. In fact, SERTAMVIS is less sensible than SERTEL NVB to the presence of big pieces as sand or rocks (but SERTEL NVB has a more powerful cleaning system, especially for little openings).

It also has the advantage to offer a compacting device (lower cost than a screw compactor, complete equipment) and enable to guarantee 30% dryness content on urban refusals.
